Lauren Binazeski, APN is a member of Summit Medical Group’s Urgent Care team. Lauren has worked in urgent care settings for over four years and has experience in preventive care and caring for individuals with acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions. Although she typically sees patients for a specific condition, she strongly believes in treating the whole person and works to identify any other existing needs or concerns. Lauren finds helping others to be a very rewarding experience. She adds “I always have my patients’ best interests at heart, and with the support and resources of Summit Medical Group, I am able to meet their health care needs”.
Aside from improving a patient’s condition through a concise treatment plan, Lauren places a strong emphasis on patient education and health management. “When a patient fully understands their condition and is given the tools and knowledge to manage it, they feel empowered. This empowerment not only helps them feel better faster, but it may also prevent their illness from recurring or worsening.”
During her undergraduate studies at Penn State, Lauren served as a research assistant facilitating conduction and process of a study titled, “Reducing Care-Resistant Behaviors During Oral Hygiene in Persons with Dementia”. Lauren is also an advocate for mental health and believes in integrating it into all aspects of health care. When not tending to patients, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and snuggling with her pup. She also enjoys yoga, reading, and relaxing on the beach.
