Dr. Leyva is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist and is an accomplished researcher and presenter in her field. During her fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, her research focused on biliary atresia, a rare disease of the liver and bile ducts that occurs in infants. Prior to joining Summit Medical Group, Dr. Leyva served as attending Pediatric Gastroenterologist at Hackensack Meridian Health. She was active in the Healthy Futures Pediatric and Adolescent Weight Management Program, providing care for patients with fatty liver disease and other GI complications of obesity. When not seeing patients in the office, Dr. Leyva enjoys spending time outdoors biking and hiking with her two boys.
